After humans have destroyed their own cosmos, they have now extended their reach across into other cosmoses. Setting in a different Universe on a new planet, most humans were unaware there were a species of humanoids called Entities already surviving on the planet. Over generations, Entities and humans have tried to survive together on a planet foreign to them both. This begat a new species, a mix of Entity and human, called Beings. Most Beings have come to understand they cannot live in harmony with humans and have decided to live safely in their own little bubbles.  

Drum, a popular Desertlander and Higher Education student, leads a double life. Living in the quiet, safe Being Town of Sunset, Drum is admired for his looks and status even though no one outside his family can physically touch him. Because of the issue of touching, Drum has never been interested in dating. Tasked with following after his Dad, Drum has to keep the other side of himself hidden from those around him, so he focuses on keeping the citizens of Sunset safe from humans. But after an incident in front of the whole campus, he meets Pantu, someone outside his family who can touch him. Now Drum has to decide whether or not to pursue someone who would not be able to produce an heir.

Pantu, a new Eastern citizen has just moved to Sunset. Raised in a closed off society with strict laws, Pantu is trying to adjust to a new way of living in a town where there are only those like him. Never experiencing a way of life where the fear of death isn't hiding behind every corner, Pantu begins to lose his grip with reality. Told from a young age, he was Special as the most powerful Other on the planet, Pantu is confused upon meeting Drum, a Being who is truly the most powerful and who ignites something inside Pantu which sends him into a tailspin. When Pantu is targeted by a Being hell-bent on making sure Pantu stays as far away from Drum as possible, Pantu changes his plan and decides to fight back. Now navigating a new way of life, Pantu must confront his own beliefs, while dealing with feelings he has cut out of himself in order to survive in his hometown. Will Pantu be able to adapt, or will his past come back to haunt him?
