After humans have destroyed their own cosmos, they have now extended their reach across into other cosmoses. Setting in a different Universe on a new planet, most humans were unaware there were a species of humanoids called Entities already surviving on the planet. Over generations, Entities and humans have tried to survive together on a planet foreign to them both. This begat a new species, a mix of Entity and human, called Beings. Most Beings have come to understand they cannot live in harmony with humans and have decided to live safely in their own little bubbles.

Pantu's hometown has come knocking, but Sunset is vastly different from the place he was raised. The peaceful feelings he received from the promise Drum made gives him more time to notice his surroundings and himself. Finding out he is best friends with Drum's childhood bully, adds to the frustration of understanding himself. As he struggles to fit into this new world and deal with his newfound knowledge of Being Towns, Pantu is faced with a difficult choice.
